AMC Attracts Record Numbers at Dalton

Over 130 students showed up to take part in the American Math Contest, on February, 4 2013. The number of Dalton students taking the test has increased almost exponentially over the many years it has been offered. The contest is divided into two divisions; one for sophmores (several middle school students also participated in that test) and the other for juniors and seniors.
The test challenges students' skills in algebra, geometry and touches on pre-calculus, although having taken calculus previously is not required. Creativity and problem-solving are stressed. Read more about the AMC.
