Dalton's Robotics Team Crowned Superteam World Champions
This summer, the 8th Grade Dalton Robot Soccer Team travelled to Brazil to represent the United States in the International RoboCup Competition.
The students designed and built two robots that used infrared sensors to track a special ball and push it into the opponent's goal. One highlight of the competition was the US goalie making multiple saves in the the semifinals of the Superteam competition, where the US was teamed up with four other countries. In the end, Dalton's team was crowned Superteam World Champions, and the students won individual awards for teamwork (1st place) and robot design (3rd place).
