Dalton Group Attends The People of Color Conference

Twenty Dalton faculty, staff, and students attended the twenty-seventh annual People of Color (POCC) and Student Diversity Leadership Conference (SDLC) in Indianapolis, Indiana from December 4 to December 6. Students and educators attended separate events and workshops on equity and social justice but came together at the end of the conference to share their experiences.
The theme for this year's POCC conference was "Going the Distance, Driving the Change, Leading the Race Toward Equity and Excellence." Featured keynote speakers included Georgetown University Sociology Professor Michael Eric Dyson and Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Sonia Nazario.
