"They Did It - Pi Day"

The High School Math Department and Math Team gathered the sum of their parts to arrive at an irrational solution for the annual Pi Day celebration, on the 5th floor at 89th Street. An infinite amount of pie was happily consumed.
Teachers David Harvey and Emily Mines, balanced the equation, by adding Mathematics Department Chair Lisa Borenstein on background vocals and tambourine. They wrote and performed mathematically-inspired song parodies, as students and math teachers achieved critical mass in the 5th-floor hallway to celebrate. Songs included favorites like “Find, Find the Value of Pi,” sung to the tune of Don McLean’s “American Pie” and a new common denominator, “Pi Day” sung to Frank Sinatra’s “My Way.” The video "shows their work."
