DGI Students Immersed in the Color, Fragrance and Beauty of Morocco
In early March, while the mercury was still hovering around the single digits in New York City, a group of ten young travelers, chaperoned by Mme Mhinat and Monsieur Bendali, took off from JFK for the sunny shores of Morocco in North Africa. For our young Dalton travelers, this was to be a trip of a lifetime. Not only did they get to set foot on the African continent for the first time, but to discover the beauty and the richness of Moroccan culture.
Morocco, the land where East meets West is at the crossroads of Europe and Africa, with its multiculturalism (Arabic, French and Berber), its imperial cities (Rabat, Fes and Marrakech) and Medinas, its palaces and Kasbahs, its mosques and its rich culinary tradition is a model of tolerance and cohabitation.
