Dalton Tiges MS Softball continued its hot streak by defeating Brearley

Dalton Tiges MS Softball continued its hot streak by defeating Brearley at Riverbank Park on Thursday April 24. Dalton played very well in the field with key plays by Maggie Erhlich, Madeleine Blake, Caroline Cherston, Julia Evanuse, Ajee Schaeffer and a great job of catching by Emily Smul and Alex Mayer. Dalton was led offensively by Caroline Cherston who had a huge Homerun to lead off the 5th inning (score was only 5-1 at that point), Emily Schein  went 3-3 with 2 RBI, Maggie Erhlich  had 2 RBIs, Jenny Swift  had a big RBI and Isabelle Choy, Becky Weinberg & Genesis Medina also got their first hits and RBIs of the season. Well done ladies. We had great pitching by Julia Evanusa (4 inn, 3H, 2R, 2BB, 6K) and Ajee Schaeffer (1inn, 2H, 2R, 3K) We hope to continue our successful 2008 season on Tuesday Apr 29 against Trevor Day.
