The Dalton Varsity Football team got back on track, winning it's third league game in the HVFL by beating South Kent 28-13. Dalton took control of the game early, scoring all 28 points in the first quarter for a commanding 28-0 lead. Corey Benson scored first on a 12 yard run and ran the conversion in as well. Harry Schlieff made it into the endzone next as he caught an 8 yard touchdown pass from Sam Pressman for the score. Sam Pressman hit Corey Benson on a pass for the conversion. Jamaal Taylor broke free, untouched for a 20 yard run for a touchdown. Khaleed Alston finished the scoring when he ran the sweep around left end, outrunning the entire South Kent defense as he sprinted to a 63 yard touchdown run. Dalton then handed over the bulk of the running chores to freshmen Peter Vallemarescu who consistently gained yardage the rest of the afternoon. Dalton finished with over 250 yards rushing for the day. Sam Kelly led the defense with 8 tackles and 2 sacks of the quarterback and Ricky Pellegrini also added 2 sacks.
