The Dalton Track and Field team had a stellar day at the 18th Annual New York Relays on Friday and Saturday at Icahn Stadium.
The 4x100 girls relay team of Aggie Chan, Danielle Jefferson, Sasha Galbraith, and Nicole Swan improved on their own school record time, breaking the 51-second mark. They finished fifth overall in the finals.
Myeh Medina won two medals at the competition, placing second in the triple jump and sixth in the 400-meter hurdles. Earlier this season, Medina broke the school record for in the triple jump in her first time competing in the event.
Ciara Balanza, Annika Jha and Sofia Gulati ran the 2nd, 3rd and 5th fastest time in school history in the steeplechase in their first times ever competing in the event. Hannah Cenedella, Chan, Jefferson and Gulati placed 10th in a competitive 4x400 relay.
Connor Rust and Luke Rostan both had personal best times in the 3200-meter race on Friday night.
