The Dalton Tigers continued their fast start to the baseball season on Tuesday
The Dalton Tigers continued their fast start to the baseball season on Tuesday, topping Rodeph Sholom by the score of 10-0 at Cunningham Park.
The Tigers got off to a fast start in the top of the first inning. Elijah Connell smoked a three-run homer to highlight the four run first inning. Continued use of the opposite field by Jared Mandelbaum, Michael Sperling, and Leo Kone highlighted another four-run inning in the second. Peter Lucido's bases loaded single in the fourth inning plated the remainder of the Tigers' runs.
Defensively, Dalton was helped by Zach Rosh's superb shutout pitching. Pounding the strike zone, Rosh only allowed three base runners all game long.
The Tigers will put their 3-0 record on the line this Thursday against Fieldston.
